Olive Branch Fostering is delighted to announce the release of The Tale of the Tail of Donald T Snail, a beautifully illustrated children’s book designed to help young readers explore and understand emotions.
This heartwarming story follows Donald T Snail, a little character who isn’t having the best day. As Donald navigates his feelings, young readers are taken on a journey that encourages them to recognise, express, and understand their own emotions in a fun and engaging way.
The concept for The Tale of the Tail of Donald T Snail originated from our desire to provide a creative and accessible tool for their foster children to explore and explain how they feel.
The idea was then brought to life by acclaimed Rossendale-based poet and author Paul Jenkins, whose expert storytelling and poetic flair make this book both entertaining and meaningful for young minds.
“At Olive Branch Fostering, we understand the importance of helping children articulate their feelings,” said Joanne Sharples, Director at Olive Branch Fostering.
“Books like The Tale of the Tail of Donald T Snail play a crucial role in supporting emotional literacy, and we are thrilled to see this idea come to life in such a wonderful way.”
Paul Jenkins added: “It was an absolute joy to collaborate on this book. Every child deserves to feel heard and understood, and I hope that Donald’s journey resonates with young readers, helping them navigate their own emotions with confidence.”
The book is initially available to foster families, schools, and support networks, and is also available to buy online here, reinforcing our commitment to providing emotional support through creative storytelling.
