Transferring to Olive Branch is quick, simple and possibly the best decision you’ll make.
When you join Olive Branch Fostering, you join a community of like-minded foster carers who feel valued from day one. We believe that when we invest time in our foster families, they invest their loyalty and trust in us – enabling us to provide a better and more consistent level of care to the hundreds of young people who are passed through the system to us every year.
Transferring from another foster care agency can feel like an overwhelming upheaval for you and any existing children in your care. But rest assured, transferring to Olive Branch is not only a smooth process but will give you instant access to our friendly and professional team, and our comprehensive training opportunities.
Submit a written notice of intent to transfer to your fostering service provider via post or email. A meeting will be arranged involving your current agency or local authority social worker, placing authority social worker for any foster children in your care, Olive Branch manager and yourselves. During the meeting, we will discuss the best interests of the child, any support needs for the child and yourselves, the fees and finances and a timetable of what will be happening in the following weeks.
We will do our assessment, which is usually much quicker than the first time you were assessed, and then our panel will make a recommendation. You will then submit your 28-day resignation to your current agency, after which you will be an Olive Branch Foster Carer!
